| In 1992
guitarist T.C. Vibe and drummer Lars poulsen got together and formed
a Death Metal band called Near Dark. A few years went by with
various members until 1994 when bassplayer Jakob Jørgensen joined
in. One year later guitarist Leif Herskind joined and finally in
1996 Vocalist Michael Andresen came along.
In 1997 it was time for our first Demo-tape called "First
Regression".At the time we had the name Affliction. The tape was
recorded over a three day period in march 1997 in a local studio
called "Club 47". The tape featured four songs: Grafting,
Involuntary Belief, Child of Pain, Leukaemia Death. It got a great
review in the norwegian magazine "Nordic Vision". The review was
read by Necromance Magazine in Spain and we were offered a place on
their second compilation CD "Pure Underground VOL. 2" which was
released in late august 1998.Death Metal with elements of Doom. Our
inspiration comes from all kinds of shit like classical music and
various metal bands. To name but a few: Six feet Under, Bolt Thrower
and Type O Negative. | |
